On May 4th, Gong Zheng, member of the 20th Central Committee, deputy secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, and mayor of Shanghai, came to the "Dataa New Town-Intelligent Robot Industry Base" located in Maqiao, Minhang, to investigate new track industry companies, get to know the situation of enterprise technology innovation, business model innovation and industrial application development. Huang Xiaoqing, the founder and chairman of Dataa Robotics, and Wang Bing, co-founder of Dataa Robotics, accompanied the visit. This is the second visit for Mayor Gong Zheng coming to investigate Dataa Robotics after three years in May 2020 last time.
At first, Gong Zheng came to Dataa Robotics' exhibition hall of "Dataa New Town - Cloud Robot World" to learn about advanced cloud robot technology architecture, and watched Ginger's Peking Opera performance with great interest; then he went to the 5G intelligent digital manufacturing factory. He checked the operation of the automated production line of the Smart Compliant Actuator (SCA), which is the core component of the robot, and asked about the production capacity. Finally, Gong Zheng came to the XR robot lab and listened in detail to the R&D progress in biped humanoid robot.
The XR lab originated from the "XR-Plan Extreme Robot Project" launched in 2018. The goal is to create a general and powerful ontology platform for cloud robots, and provide standardized products and scenarios for users from all walks of life. In addition, it carries key capabilities such as new body design, sensor design, control system, and core algorithm design. Under the goal of "2025, robot nanny", it will continue to promote innovation and exploration in various technical fields, and accelerate the iteration and development of humanoid robots.
